Bah! I’m going to dinner with friends on Tuesday night at . . . Xia. It’s great food that is already relatively affordable, but I would have loved a 1/2 price dish.

i looked at the menus tonight and most are the same as last week. We drove through the snow to taste shrimp and grits at the Meridian. Delightful food with fabulous service.
We go out every week with friends and want to try all the restaurants. Not enticed by half priced hors’d’ouerves.
It is a great opportunity to evaluate the cuisine at all venues without prohibitive costs.
    Great idea!

Barbara, thanks for the comment. I’m not sure how the restaurants were selected or signed up. I’m guessing that someone at the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership spearheaded it, so maybe the folks at Xia should give them a call.
Bob, I agree that it’s a great idea. Nothing better than an excuse to go out and sample the local cuisine:)
