Silent Auction is running until Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 2 pm. Pretty wide variety of items up for bid including bicycles, mini beer barrels, teapots, a set of Hardy Boy books and my favorite: a table and four chairs from a soda shop.

This sign was found today at Habitat ReStore in Winston-Salem. Hardback books are normally $2 and softbacks $1, but Bibles are free when available. Pretty good selection of books here.

Every year we contribute the sweet potatoes to my in-laws’ mega-feast. The potatoes are cubed and boiling, soon to be mashed and baked.

Two of our kids did a 5K Turkey Trot with their grandfather and are now vegging in front of the TV. The other kid is taking a too-long shower and his mother is primping for the festivities. Yours truly is blogging from a Blackberry and trying to properly time his first adult beverage of the day. All is right in the world.
