The first Forsyth County biz to be hit with a fine for violating the NC smoking ban is:
Breaktime Billiards on Jonestown Road.
To get fined they had to have been cited at least three times so I guess they've been thumbing their nose at the state for a while. It'll be interesting to see what effect, if any, the fine has on the behavior of Breaktime and other businesses in Forsyth.

The only thing that saddens me about this law is the fact that they don’t yank their beer/wine and liquor licenses rather than fine them such piddly amounts. That said, I also find it hypocritical that a private club (which Breaktime is, though it’s hardly exclusive) can’t allow smoking yet a PRIVATE COUNTRY CLUB (golf) can. Basically, the country club of the people, the pool hall, takes a cue up the a**.
Youre right about the private club thing. Maybe if they install a putt-putt they can get upgraded, so to speak.
