Discount airline Allegiant Air announced service to Orlando and Tampa from Piedmont Triad International airport for introductory rates as low as $49 one way.  I’ll confess that I’ve never heard of Allegiant before, but I welcome any new carrier at PTI that we can get.  Maybe we’ll start seeing some lower rates from the PIT, er, PTI.
