These collars work well but please remember they can hurt a canine if pushed too hardly. Be smart with what you are working with and do research before just jumping into it.
My wife and son are actually taking the dogs to a training class so we should be good to go.
If nothing else the family will likely end up getting trained.

What kind of dog? For walks, a gentle leader has worked a lot better than any other collar for our 90lb Basenji mix (don’t ask). It looks like a muzzle, but just works on their nose. Friends with Great Danes and Bull Terriers used those and those dogs didn’t seem to flinch with them.
